Toms River, NJ - Ocean CC Women's Basketball absorbed a tough 87-34 home loss from Montgomery County CC on Thursday (12/5).
Leading by 24 points after the first 8 minutes of the contest, the Mustangs continued to build out their lead for the duration of the contest, aggressively defending and attacking the basket straight through the matchup's closing seconds. OCC freshman guard Brooke Schmidt led the Viking scoring effort with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals, while sophomore Ashanti Boothe scored 8, and brought in 10 rebounds and 3 steals in the loss.
The Vikings will look to bounce back on Saturday, December 14, when they host Lehigh Carbon CC in a 12 P.M. matchup.
