Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball continues to chase their 1st win of the new year, following a tough 69-53 loss to the visiting Jersey Blues of Brookdale CC on Thursday (1/30).
Ocean freshman Brooke Schmidt was a force on both ends of the court, leading the team with 21 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, while freshman Tatiana Hernandez also impressed with 16 points and 4 steals in a heated matchup that saw the Vikings taking a 4-point lead into the 2nd quarter and remaining competitive throughout.
The Vikings return to action on Saturday, February 1, when they head to Sussex County CC for a 12 P.M. matchup.
