Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Soccer opened their 2024 season in dominant fashion, shutting out Sussex County CC, 3-0, on the road.
The Vikings, who have captured the Region 19 D-III championship in each of the last 2 seasons, returned to action with a dynamic freshman class, led on this day by midfielder Isabella Silva, who scored the eventual game-winner in the 32nd minute, and assisted on the match's final tally in the 61st. Ocean sophomores Natalie Christie and Alyssa Maisano scored Ocean's remaining goals in the contest, with sophomore Alyssa Duff assisting on both.
Ocean will next travel to Union College on Thursday, September 12, to face the Owls in a 6:30 P.M. matchup.
