Coach Steinberg is a 2011 graduate from Toms River High School North, where she played on varsity tennis for four years, playing first singles her sophomore, junior, and senior year. During her senior year at Toms River North, she graduated from Ocean County College with her Associate’s degree, one month before receiving her high school diploma. 

Coach Steinberg next attended The College of New Jersey, earning her Bachelor of Science in STEM Education in 2014 and her Master of Arts in Teaching in Urban Education in 2015. During this time she took a break from competitive tennis to focus on her studies, but couldn’t stay off the court for long. Upon graduating and becoming a middle school science teacher, she was immediately back out on the courts, volunteering at Toms River High School North as an assistant coach. In 2016 she became the JV tennis coach for Jackson Memorial. Since 2015 she has volunteered at the Ocean County Tournament, provided lessons as a private coach, and has run a youth tennis camp. 

Coach Steinberg believes in focusing on growth for her players in all aspects of their lives; physically, mentally, and emotionally. She encourages growth on and off the courts. The fall 2018 season marked Coach Steinberg's first as head coach for OCC Women's Tennis, while the winter 2021-22 season marked Coach Megan's first as interim head coach for Ocean's women's basketball team. Coach Megan became head coach for both OCC's men's and women's tennis programs in 2022.
