Toms River, NJ - Congratulations to Aiden Falduto and Raven Heckel, our OCC Vikings Players of the Week!
OCC Men's Tennis freshman Aiden Falduto (Tuckerton, NJ/Pinelands) recently defeated Region 19 #1 RCSJ Gloucester's top singles player, Rich Feldman, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 on April 26. Falduto, who is the Vikings' 1st singles player, and teams up with sophomore Frank Staerk to make up Ocean's 1st doubles pairing, will compete for the Region 19 championship at Mercer County CC on May 2-3.
Despite missing 6 games due to injuries, Ocean CC Softball catcher Raven Heckel (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) made her presence felt this season. Heckel, a sophomore, ranked 4th on the team in both hits (16) and batting average (.296), and led in walks (8) and on-base percentage (.387). Her impact will be missed!
