Toms River, NJ - Congratulations to Josh Hybbeneth and Madison Bernardo, our OCC Vikings Players of the Week!
OCC Golf freshman Josh Hybbeneth (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) put the Region on notice in the Vikings' first match of the season, shooting a fantastic 4-over-par 76 at Seaview Golf Club on March 31 to claim 1st place in singles play, and drive Ocean to a 1st place finish in Region 19 team competition. OCC Golf will return to the links for their next match on Monday, April 7, when they travel to Galloping Hill in Kenilworth, NJ.
While Ocean CC Softball is still working toward establishing a winning season, freshman 1st base/pitcher Madison Bernardo (Toms River East) has been supplying the power. The Toms River, NJ native smashed her 2nd home run of the season on March 30, and is batting .297 with 5 RBI through 15 games this season. The Vikings next take the field on Friday, April 11, when they host Brookdale CC at 3 P.M.
