Toms River, NJ - Goals from freshman Frank Golda and sophomore Vikings team captain Kyle Unger helped push the OCC Vikings men's soccer team past visiting Rowan College at Gloucester County by a score of 2-0 on Thursday (9/28). The win marked the 7th Region 19 and 6th Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) victory of the season for Ocean (The Vikings are undefeated in both region and confererence play). Assists were earned by Chandler Gibbons and Scott Larsen, while Ocean goalkeepers Robert Andrade and Tom Lynch combined forces for the shutout. Andrade saved his second penalty kick of the season, a thrilling stop which added significant momentum to Ocean's cause.
The Vikings return to action on Saturday, September 30 when they travel to County College of Morris for a 12:00 p.m. GSAC match.
