Toms River, NJ - Sophomore and All-Region GK Robert Andrade recorded 6 saves in his first shutout of 2018 and freshman Erik Fatovic provided the lone goal in the 35th minute to give the Ocean County College Men's Soccer team their first Region 19 victory of the season over the Bergen Community College Bulldogs.
The Vikings heavily outshot their opponent 17-7, but were unable to build upon their lead. However, they did well in maintaining an organized defensive unit that provided the team with their first shutout of the season.
Providing the assist for Fatovic's goal was freshman central midfielder Kevin Miller, who slipped a well-timed pass behind the Bergen defense to a streaking Fatovic, who maneuvered around the opposing GK, placing the ball into an open net.
The Vikings' next Region 19 matchup will be against Cumberland County College on Tuesday, Sept 11th at 4 p.m. at Ocean County College Stadium.
