Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer improved their overall record to 7-4 following a 1-0 shutout of the visiting Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College on Monday (10/10).
Ocean freshman midfielder Alexander Granda scored the match's lone goal (assisted by Johnny Hart) in the 67th minute to secure the win. Hart's assist was his 6th this season, placing him 13th nationally in the category. Vikings freshman goalkeeper Dawson Kaniuk made 5 saves on the day, and ranks 15th in the nation with 58 stops on the season.
The Vikings, currently ranked 7th in Region XIX, face stiff competition in their final 3 matches of the regular season. First, they will face Camden County College (3rd in Region XIX) on October 13, followed by nationally-ranked #3 Bergen Community College on October 15, and then they will end their regular season with a battle against Region XIX-ranked #4 Northampton Community College on October 17.
