Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer earned their 3rd win of the season against zero losses in a 2-1 road victory at Sussex County CC on Saturday (9/9).
Ocean freshman Jayson Nardone scored both Viking goals in this match, and continues to impress this season, with 5 goals through 3 games thus far.
The Skylanders struck first in this contest, with a tally in the 25th minute, but the Vikings would soon answer. The team regrouped and reorganized behind Nardone, who equalized in the 31st minute by high pressing and dispossessing a Sussex defender, finishing the ball into the lower right corner of the net. Nardone would score again just after halftime with a blistering shot from the top of the box after receiving a precision pass from freshmen wing back, Ethan Riley.
Vikings GK Dawson Kaniuk made 6 saves on the day and recorded his 3rd win.
