OCC Men's Soccer Pulls Even with RCSJ Gloucester, 2-2

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer (6-1-2) roared back from 2 goals down to tie the Roadrunners of RCSJ Gloucester on Tuesday (10/3). The draw marked Ocean's 2nd in their last 3 matches.

With the Roadrunners leading 2-0 after 13 minutes of play, Ocean freshman midfielder Joao Capobianco struck in the 35th, converting a pass from Alex Baginski to pull the Vikings to within 1 before the 1st half concluded. The score held until the 70th minute, when OCC sophomore Mattia Assante DiCupillo set up Max Dyba, who cut in from outside left to the middle of the field to blast in Ocean's equalizer. The goal marked Dyba's 2nd in as many matches, and was due in part to a fantastic game from Assante, who consistently created opportunities in this match, and along with sophomore Adam Grelak, controlled the midfield for a significant portion of the contest. Sophomore goalkeeper Dawson Kaniuk made 5 stops on the day, and was supported by Baginski and sophomore team captain AJ Truszkowski, who through his consistent performances has established himself as one of Region 19's top defenders.

The Vikings return to action on Saturday, October 7, when they travel to Lehigh Carbon CC for a 2 P.M. Region 19 matchup.
