The Ocean County College Lady Vikings earned a big win against the their toughest conference competitor, Bergen Community College Bulldogs Saturday afternoon. After defeating Rowan College @ Glouchester County in three sets earlier in the day, the Vikings were prepared to go five sets after losing the first two very close sets. The Vikings rallied back in sets three and four forcing a game deciding 5th set defeating the Bulldogs 15-13. Offensively, they combined for 24 overall kills from Christina VanDerVliet, Ireland Beal and Savanna Oliverio and 15 assists from Kerry Larkin. The defense was most impressive racking up nearly 80 digs in the 5 sets: Savanna Oliverio/16 digs, Dionna Gonnella/21 digs, Samantha Allen/15 digs, Kerry Larkin/17 digs, Ireland Beal/10 digs and Christina VanDerVliet had 2 blocks.
