Toms River, NJ - OCC Vikings Volleyball (13-3) won their fifth consecutive match in a 3-0 sweep of conference rival Brookdale Community College on Tuesday (10/9). Ocean was a bit slow to start, pulling out a 27-25 first set win, but once they asserted control, they did not look back, taking the next two sets by 25-17 scores. Pascal El-Khouri, Taylor Jackson, Ashley Stickle, Jenna Kulinski and Gabriella Figueroa combined for over 18 kills, while Samantha Rose contributed 18 assists. In addition, Gianna Addalli and Kirstyn Smith combined for 14 digs.
The Vikings currently rank #4 in Region XIX with the postseason fast approaching. With their final three contests of the regular season being a tri-match on Saturday (10/13) with #2 Harrisburg Area CC and #6 Montgomery County CC and a showdown on Tuesday (10/16) with #5 Bergen CC, every remaining match is of utmost playoff importance.
