Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball (11-1) won their 11th match of the season courtesy of a 3-0 sweep of the visiting Passaic County CC Panthers on Thursday (9/28).
The win, which marked Ocean's 6th shutout victory in their last 7 matches, was controlled by the Vikings from the onset, who picked up the 1st set, 25-9, before closing the Panthers out with 25-12 and 25-14 2nd and 3rd sets.
Ocean sophomore Madison Partenfelder had 24 assists in the match, while freshman Claudia Cosme's 16 digs, 8 kills, and 10 points kept the momentum in the Vikings' favor.
"This was a very slow game, but we got the job done," remarked OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Alexis Whitney.
The Vikings return to the court on Saturday, September 30, when they travel to Sussex County CC for a 1 P.M. match versus the Skylanders.
